2016 Near Space Challenge Flight Tracking

NOTES:

  • Due to problems with some phones and tablets, individual tracking maps are split into several pages. These include the Recovery Team, Monday’s flights, and Tuesday’s flights.These maps allow those interested to track specific balloons or recovery staff. Two maps at the bottom of this page will display all of the balloons on Monday and all of the balloons on Tuesday in a single map
  • Recovery operations will use the Upper Rio FM Society and Megalink Repeaters
  • We continue to have issues with the tracking pages working on small portable devices. The issue seems to be too many scripts trying to execute at the same time. If you are using a portable device and experience trouble we recommend you use the Balloon Fiesta web site (link may be dead) to track balloons and the NMSS web site to track recovery vehicles.
  • For the most tracking options go to aprs.fi and enter a callsign / SSID (e.g. nm5ss-1) and select the tracking options desired.
